Russia Puts To Death Disobedient Soldiers
The Morale of Russian Troops at an All-Time Low
The Biden administration has revealed evidence that the Russian military has been killing its own soldiers after they refuse to follow orders. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby addressed reporters on Thursday, shedding light on this disturbing practice.
"We have information that the Russian military has been actively executing soldiers who refuse to follow orders," Kirby stated. "We also have information that Russian commanders are threatening to execute entire units if they attempt to retreat from Ukrainian artillery fire."
Reports of such incidents have been surfacing for about a year now, with friendly fire cases appearing to be common among the Russian army, which suffers from low morale. The Daily Beast initially reported on this issue last year, highlighting instances where Russian soldiers expressed concerns about the dangers posed by their fellow troops.
In an intercepted phone call from last year, one Russian commander named Aleksei can be heard venting his frustration: "I'm telling you, what the fuck kind of command is this, scumbags. They're fucking killing their own. "I'm telling you, there are more losses from our own [guys]," the commander said, as he was quoted by media reports.
Kirby attributed these executions to the failings within the Russian military, which has long been plagued by mismanagement and low spirits:
"From the very beginning, we've been talking about poor command and control, poor logistics and sustainment. They can't even feed their guys in the field, for crying out loud," Kirby remarked. "And now, again, they're willing to shoot them for... not following orders."
However, the White House did not disclose the timeframe of these executions or provide an estimate of the number of soldiers killed in such instances.
"It's reprehensible to think that you would execute your own soldiers simply because they chose not to follow orders, and now threatening to execute entire units, it's barbaric," Kirby expressed. "I believe it's a symptom of how poorly Russia's military leaders know they're doing and how badly they have handled this from a military standpoint."
The revelation of this disturbing practice raises serious concerns about the Russian military's command structure and discipline. The Biden administration's acknowledgment of these executions sheds light on the precarious conditions within the Russian army and the disregard for human life.
As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the international community will respond to these revelations and what actions will be taken to address the alarming issue of soldiers being executed for refusing to follow orders.
