In a resolute declaration, Mohammad Bagheri Qalibaf, the Speaker of Iran's parliament, underscored Iran's unwavering commitment to defense progress despite adversarial attempts at sabotage and espionage.
Qalibaf's remarks were delivered during an open session of the Parliament on Tuesday, where he commended Iran's defense industry personnel for their pivotal role in bolstering the nation's strength and deterrence against hostile forces.
Praising the prowess of Iran's youth, Qalibaf highlighted that the nation's defense industry has achieved remarkable milestones, producing cutting-edge equipment and weaponry for its armed forces:
"Today, the enemies of the Iranian nation have realized that they cannot prevent the growing progress of the country's defense industry with sanctions, terror, industrial sabotage, direct attack on the infrastructure of the defense industry, and espionage," Qalibaf asserted, as reported by IRNA.
He further emphasized the resolute determination of the young workforce in the defense sector, who, far from succumbing to external pressures, continue to fortify Iran's defense capabilities on a daily basis.
Notably, Iran has surged ahead in recent years in its production of sophisticated defense equipment, capturing global attention for its advancements in drone technology.
Iranian drones have garnered widespread interest, prompting inquiries from at least 30 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America seeking to acquire these unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As some Western media outlets have raised concerns about the deployment of Iranian drones in the Western hemisphere, the geopolitical implications have intensified discussions about their capabilities and impact on regional dynamics.
